Since 2022, the Microsoft partner model has included a range of cloud designations across six distinct subject areas. These designations are awarded to partners who can demonstrate exemplary skills and experience in the management of Microsoft cloud services. We are now authorized to hold five of the six designations (Data & AI, Digital and App Innovation, Azure Infrastructure, Modern Work and Security) as well as further specializations, including Teams telephony and security.
Microsoft only awards these designations and specializations to partners who continuously demonstrate their expertise in the various disciplines. The evidence is provided by projects that have been explicitly confirmed and implemented by customers. Microsoft also monitors and calculates actively used workloads (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, etc.) in customer environments using telemetry.
Of course, certified employees are also an important criterion. The certifications must be regularly renewed and updated. The certificates to be obtained for each designation are different and are also constantly being supplemented with new products.
