{"id":47645,"date":"2024-12-17T14:52:12","date_gmt":"2024-12-17T13:52:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/twincapfirst.ch\/?p=47645"},"modified":"2024-12-22T13:10:51","modified_gmt":"2024-12-22T12:10:51","slug":"new-outlook-starting-01-06-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/twincapfirst.ch\/en\/blog\/new-outlook-starting-01-06-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"New Outlook starting 06.01.2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-microsoft-planning\">What is Microsoft planning?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that Microsoft announced a few days ago that all Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Microsoft 365 Business Premium customers will be switching from their current Outlook to the new Microsoft \u201cNew Outlook\u201d. Customers using Enterprise licenses and\/or Apple Mac devices are not affected. These are currently spared. Starting January 6, 2025, the \u201cNew Outlook\u201d will be switched as standard for Microsoft 365 Business plans. If no action is taken, this change will be initiated automatically by Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-recommendation-for-the-new-outlook\">Our recommendation for the new Outlook<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are of the opinion that the new Outlook is unfortunately not yet mature enough for everyday use by \u201cnormal\u201d users. Based on various feedback from customers and other IT partners, we recommend that our customers remain on the \u201cold\u201d version, which will be supported by Microsoft <a href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/blog\/outlook\/new-outlook-for-windows-a-guide-to-product-availability\/4078895\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">until at least 2029<\/a>. So there is really no need to rush. Iphones\/Android, Mac devices or Ipad\/Android tablets are not affected.
