{"id":45533,"date":"2020-07-20T11:10:05","date_gmt":"2020-07-20T09:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/twincapfirst.ch\/blog\/windows-information-protection-wip\/"},"modified":"2024-11-10T19:19:03","modified_gmt":"2024-11-10T18:19:03","slug":"windows-information-protection-wip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/twincapfirst.ch\/de\/blog\/windows-information-protection-wip\/","title":{"rendered":"Windows Information Protection \u2013 WIP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-windows-information-protection-wip\">Windows Information Protection \u2013 WIP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Windows Information Protection oder auch WIP ist eine Methode, um Ihre Gesch\u00e4ftsdaten zu sch\u00fctzen. Ihre Daten werden in Gesch\u00e4ftsdaten (Sharepoint \/ Outlook \/ Fileshares etc.) und private Daten (pers\u00f6nliche Mails etc) unterteilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Administrator kann den Zugriff auf gesch\u00e4ftliche Daten einschr\u00e4nken in dem man entsprechende Berechtigungen zuweist. Nur weil jemand Zugriff auf die Daten hat, heisst das aber nicht, dass die Daten im gesch\u00fctzten Bereich ihrer Unternehmung bleiben. Alle Administratoren wissen, wenn Benutzer etwas nicht machen k\u00f6nnen\/d\u00fcrfen, dann finden Sie, meist sehr erfinderisch, einen anderen Weg. Kann ein Benutzer die Daten beispielsweise nicht mit jemand anderem direkt \u2018teilen\u2019, dann werden die Daten einfach irgendwo in einen \u00f6ffentlichen Bereich hochgeladen und von dort zug\u00e4nglich gemacht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-hier-hilft-wip\"><strong>Hier hilft WIP:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Windows Information protection, kurz WIP unterst\u00fctzt Sie als IT Verantwortlichen f\u00fcr die Datensicherheit, indem sie entsprechende Regeln definieren:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Welche Daten sind gesch\u00e4ftlich und sch\u00fctzenswert und wo sind diese abgelegt?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Welche Programme d\u00fcrfen auf diese Daten zugreifen?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Was soll passieren, wenn eine Regel verletzt wird?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-microsoft-office\"><strong>Microsoft Office:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Microsoft Office sowie der Microsoft Edge Chromium Browser sind sogenannte \u2018Fully enlightened\u2019 Applikationen, das heisst, hier ist es m\u00f6glich, innerhalb der Applikation, zu entscheiden welche Daten gesch\u00e4ftlich oder privat sind. Ein sch\u00f6nes Beispiel ist Microsoft Outlook. Nehmen wir an, ein Benutzer hat in Outlook sowohl den gesch\u00e4ftlichen Account wie auch einen privaten Account aktiv. Ohne WIP k\u00f6nnte der Benutzer gesch\u00e4ftliche Daten sowohl mit dem Firmen Account wie auch mit dem privaten Account verschicken. Mit WIP ist dies nicht m\u00f6glich. Outlook l\u00e4sst in diesem Fall (sofern entsprechend konfiguriert) den Zugriff auf die Firmendaten nur noch via Firmen Account zu. Auch ein \u2018Copy\/Paste\u2019 Versuch von einem Firmenmail in ein privates Mail, wird unterbunden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Zugriff auf die Gesch\u00e4ftsdaten muss in jeder Applikation explizit erlaubt werden. Um den Aufwand diesbez\u00fcglich zu minimieren, kann man prinzipiell die Signaturen der Applikationen nutzen und sowohl Wildcards in den Versionen oder Applikationsnamen wie auch ganze Hersteller pauschal freischalten, sofern diese als vertrauensw\u00fcrdig gelten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In den letzten Jahren tauchten auch immer wieder diverse \u2018Verschl\u00fcsselungstrojaner\u2019 auf. WIP ist auch ein guter Schutz gegen diese Methode, da s\u00e4mtliche Programme, welche nicht explizit freigeschaltet werden, keinerlei Zugriff auf gesch\u00e4ftlichen Daten haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-benutzer-erfahrung\"><strong>Benutzer Erfahrung:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wird versucht ein gesch\u00fctztes Dokument an einen nichtgesch\u00fctzten Ort zu laden, beispielsweise auf den pers\u00f6nlichen Gmail Account, so erh\u00e4lt der Benutzer eine entsprechende Warnung:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/twincapfirst.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/xxxx.gif\" alt=\"Windows Information Protection \u2013 WIP\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wird versucht mit Copy\/Paste gesch\u00e4ftliche Inhalte in ein privates Dokument zu kopieren so erscheint folgende Meldung:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/twincapfirst.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/2.gif\" alt=\"Windows Information Protection \u2013 WIP\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wird dem Benutzer erlaubt, die Aktion zu \u00fcberschreiben, so sieht die Meldung folgendermassen aus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/twincapfirst.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/3-e1593173360640.gif\" alt=\"Windows Information Protection \u2013 WIP\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zus\u00e4tzlich kann auch festgelegt werden, ob gesch\u00e4ftliche Dokument als solches lokal mittels Icon ersichtlich sein sollen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/twincapfirst.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/4-1.gif\" alt=\"Windows Information Protection \u2013 WIP\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-wip-voraussetzung\"><strong>WIP Voraussetzung:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Damit sie WIP einsetzen k\u00f6nnen ben\u00f6tigen sie eine Mobile Device Management (MDM) L\u00f6sung \u2013 optimalerweise\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/de-ch\/security\/business\/endpoint-management\/microsoft-intune\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Microsoft Intune<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-warum-sollten-sie-wip-einsetzen\"><strong>Warum sollten sie WIP einsetzen:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sicheres lokales Speichern von Firmendaten\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wenn Benutzer beispielsweise Daten von ihrem Sharepoint lokal abspeichern oder auf einem USB Device ablegen, so werden diese automatisch verschl\u00fcsselt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gesch\u00fctzte Applikationen\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nur ihre (verwalteten) Applikationen haben Zugriff auf die Firmendaten. Benutzer k\u00f6nnen keine Firmendaten in eine nichtverwalteten Applikation kopieren oder innerhalb dieser nutzen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verwaltete Applikationen\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Definieren sie, welche Applikationen Zugriff auf ihre Daten haben<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entscheiden Sie \u00fcber die Art des Schutzes\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>WIP erlaubt es entweder den Datenaustausch zu blockieren, nachzufragen oder einfach nur \u2018still\u2019 aufzuzeichnen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Datenverschl\u00fcsselung auf Nummer sicher\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wird beispielsweise ein Word Dokument von einem gesch\u00fctzten Bereich ge\u00f6ffnet und in einen privaten Bereich mit einem anderen Namen gespeichert, so erkennt Word (mittels WIP) dies und klassifiziert dieses Dokument ebenfalls als gesch\u00e4ftliches Dokument<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schutz gegen versehentliches ver\u00f6ffentlichen von Dokumenten\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Firmen Daten k\u00f6nnen nicht aus versehen auf einen USB Stick oder auf einen \u00f6ffentlichen Web Upload kopiert werden<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L\u00f6schen von gesch\u00e4ftlichen Daten bei Austritt eines Benutzers\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Der Zugriff auf WIP gesch\u00fctzte Daten wird automatisch blockiert, wenn ein entsprechendes Device in Intune gel\u00f6scht wird. Dadurch kann der Zugriff auf die gesch\u00e4ftlichen Daten gesperrt werden, w\u00e4hrend gleichzeitig der Zugriff auf die pers\u00f6nlichen Daten vorhanden bleibt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-wie-funktioniert-wip\"><strong>Wie funktioniert WIP:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WIP verschl\u00fcsselt alle gesch\u00e4ftlichen Daten transparent mittels IRM Technologie auf lokalen Datentr\u00e4gern (Harddisk\/USB usw.), welche nicht direkt zum gesch\u00fctzten Bereich geh\u00f6ren (Sharepoint, Fileserver usw). Kopiert ein Benutzer bspw. ein Dokument von ihrem Fileserver auf ein USB Laufwerk, so kann dieses Dokument nur noch auf einem Firmenger\u00e4t mit einem Firmenbenutzer gelesen werden, nicht aber auf privaten oder \u00f6ffentlichen Devices. Ein zus\u00e4tzlicher Schutz mittels separater Verschl\u00fcsselung ist nicht mehr notwendig. Ausserdem wird die \u2018Applocker\u2019 Methode benutzt f\u00fcr Zugriffslimitierung der Applikationen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WIP hat drei Grundfunktionen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blockieren \u2013 der Austausch von gesch\u00e4ftlichen zu privaten Daten wird unterbunden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow Override \u2013 Wenn eine Regel anschl\u00e4gt, so erfolgt eine Warnung an den Benutzer, dieser hat jedoch die M\u00f6glichkeit die Aktion zu \u00fcberschreiben<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Silent \u2013 Alle Aktionen und Regeln werden protokolliert, es erfolgt jedoch keine Aktion beim Benutzer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Off \u2013 WIP ist deaktiviert und es ist kein Schutz aktiv<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WIP kann jederzeit deaktiviert werden, ohne dass ein Datenverlust erfolgt.
